Frisk hopes there's no fight. 

They want to be left alone, sure, but that's not the only thing they hope for. Even they can't just fix a--rivalry, a longstanding hatred, at least not when the opposing parties actually know each other. But they also hope they can...lessen it, at least a bit. So the Sandman doesn't try to outright kill--no, they're sorry, 'banish', with lots of beating and tarry blood--Pitch when they see each other every time.

(Of course, they don't know the whole story. But they can't imagine that would matter.)

The time ticks down in companionable silence. 

Frisk keeps their eyes on the sky--

--and they sit straight up when they first spot glimmering gold in the clouds.

"If I could throw up, I might be doing so right now." Right, that. That was less bitchy and more of a joke.

[dustless]

They try not to smirk and fail. "Pitch, you're--you're fifty thousand, not five."

[boogerman]

"So? What are you trying to say? I lost all dignity and maturity when I came to this party and you wanted to decorate me."

[dustless]

"Still think it woulda looked nice." Anyway, no need to get into a blep fight with the boogeyman. "Do you want to walk around and stuff?"

[boogerman]

It's not really a fight when he threatens to rip or cut that tongue off instead of blepping back.

As normal people would.

What do normal people do at parties?

"What's there to see?"

[dustless]

"There's the stage...but it's bright. All the food. The most popular monsters." Which is all of them, in Frisk's book. "Can always just walk around the room or the whole mansion, everybody's going everywhere."

[boogerman]

It would be nice to meet a few friendly monsters. Is that worth being walked through by a stray human? He shrugs, figuring it might be after all.

"I'll take a walk, no reason not to."

[dustless]

"Cool--"

The lights on the stage get brighter, enough that it makes them blink. Okay, maybe...not a walk through the main party room right now.

"--um, what rooms d'you like to haunt most? Or just like in houses?"

[boogerman]

"Every room. There is no escape from me." Well, maybe not the bathroom. Blech. (He did wince at the light, yes.)

[dustless]

That is overdramatic.

"D'you have a favorite place? We can visit Mettaton's whatever-it-is 'stead of being here." They reach for his hand in an attempt to lead him along.

[boogerman]

But funny. A good sort of overdramatic.

"Libraries, any room with television, I don't know. I'd appreciate the stage more if it weren't flashing."

[dustless]

Silly Boogeyman.

"You can't go to a party an' just watch TV." Come on, come on, weaving between tables and monsters that move out of the way obligingly. "But there is a library in here, I think! The stage is probably going to stay bright a lot, sorry."

[boogerman]

"You don't appreciate television enough, it's a great invention." Heh. But they're probably right. If only he could get drunk easily and let the urge to dance out... "Let's just walk, shall we?"

[dustless]

"I like TV! But I have my computer. And you don't go to parties to watch TV. You do it for 'atmosphere'."

Out the double doors, into the quieter and dimmer hallways beyond.

"This place is really big. Really, really big. We can walk a lot."

Oh, hey, look, it's Dogamy and Dogaressa again. They have their hoods up now, looking a bit like executioners patrolling with their axes, chattering with a wizard-like monster surrounded by glowing, floating orbs and chattering in unintelligible words.

[boogerman]

Stepping into darker areas is like coming home, feeling welcome, comfortable... the shadows love him. He's a little more relaxed. Shame everyone else would rather dance in the light.

"You don't have to follow me if you'd rather stay in there. I won't get lost."

[dustless]

"...It--'f you want? I don't mind. But if you wanna explore stuff by yourself..."

[boogerman]

Pause. He nearly sounds apologetic? Maybe not a good thing to say. "I'm not telling you to go away, just saying do whatever's fun."

[dustless]

"Exploring is fun. So's exploring with other people." So...yeah, they're still walking with Pitch.

With, not in front of. Any hallway or side room he finds worth looking at Frisk will check out too, and they'll point out stuff to him if he's interested. "'Ve just been on this floor. Mettaton only bought this...huge house a little while ago."

[boogerman]

He opens every door they pass, not giving a damn about this Mettaton's privacy. He's the Nightmare King, he does what he wants and goes where he wants.

"Mansion, that's the word. My home is bigger."

[dustless]

Most of them are pretty sparsely furnished--when Frisk said "a little while", they meant it. It's been about a month. Nobody Underground has enough to fill up so many rooms.

"...really? How much bigger?"



Suddenly, behind the door of a room that's a little less heated than the rest, there's that big blue rabbit from when Frisk bought ice cream way back when. For some reason. "Hello!"

[boogerman]

Why one monster would need this big of a home he's not sure... but isn't he guilty of the same thing?

"I don't know, I nev--" What, rabbit, what. He did indeed jump at the voice. "What are you doing in here?" Weirdo.

[dustless]

Frisk tactfully ignores the jump and just keeps talking. "How d'you not know, it's your house."

The rabbit gives a jolly wave. "Handing out Nice Creams, of course! Have one on the house! Because I can afford that now!" he says, sing-song, and holds out a couple (n)ice cream bars still in their packaging.

Monsters are weird.

Frisk takes one.

[boogerman]

"It shifts around. Some of the rooms don't have doorways. And what's the point in me measuring it?"

It's rude to talk around the rabbit, so of course he is. Until he's not. "Why here and not out at the party?" Whatever. He takes one, as it's good healing monster food...

[dustless]

"Oh. I guess that makes sense." Not knowing the size of something that moves around. Sounds like the CORE.

The rabbit's ears twitch. "...I got lost," he answers, grinning but sheepish. "This place sure is confusing!"

[boogerman]

Aside, quickly trying to hold two conversations at once, "It's mostly for storage. I'm in trouble if I ever need to find half the things I've stolen." How much junk can someone snag over fifty thousand years?

To the rabbit: "We came from thataway." he says, pointing. So helpful.
