Frisk hopes there's no fight. 

They want to be left alone, sure, but that's not the only thing they hope for. Even they can't just fix a--rivalry, a longstanding hatred, at least not when the opposing parties actually know each other. But they also hope they can...lessen it, at least a bit. So the Sandman doesn't try to outright kill--no, they're sorry, 'banish', with lots of beating and tarry blood--Pitch when they see each other every time.

(Of course, they don't know the whole story. But they can't imagine that would matter.)

The time ticks down in companionable silence. 

Frisk keeps their eyes on the sky--

--and they sit straight up when they first spot glimmering gold in the clouds.

Meanwhile, Frisk is staring right at him, expectantly. Yeah, mom meant it for them, but he's the guest. Wouldn't it be better to have him choose something?

"Didn't you want to...watch a show?" they ask, when his response isn't immediate.

[boogerman]

Weird. How many times is he going to think that word?? He's stalked families before, hung about in their house like he belonged, but obviously they wouldn't ask his opinion on anything.

"Oh. I remember saying that now, yes. Yes?"

Eventually, he'll get used to it. Or Frisk would hope.

"We have Netflix--a thing we can just--get shows on the TV and stuff. We can look for it? 'F that's okay?" They glance at Toriel.



"Watching something together sounds quite pleasant. It may depend on what it actually is." The Boogeyman likely enjoys horror movies, after all...and Frisk hadn't told her exactly what they were seeing together that night when she and Pitch first met.

[boogerman]

"I've seen Netflix. It's turning in to quite a fad." He watches people watch TV, so what? "...What sort of things do you usually watch?"

[dustless]

He didn't know what the internet was not too long ago, forgive 'em for assuming.

"Cartoons..." Not entirely surprising.



"And nature documentaries!"

[boogerman]

Waving his hand, "Anything is fine. I don't usually choose, not when people are about."

[dustless]

"Well. If anything you see strikes you as interesting--"

Frisk takes off to set things up. Probably nature documentaries, yes, 'cause those can be creepy!

"--do not worry about speaking up," Toriel finishes, carefully rinsing off her furred hands in the sink. (Frisk probably should have done that too, there is no way they did all that work unscathed.)

Scary is food, not necessarily always overlapping with fun. (But he shouldn't admit straight off to loving comedies.)

"I won't." With that, he's off to join Frisk. Hopefully there are two couches.

Nope, only one...but that one is huge.

Once upon a time, there was a standard-sized couch there, but then Frisk started having movie nights. And everyone came. (Except Asgore.)

So: giant dark purple couch that they're nearly being swallowed by right in the center as they start messing with the remote.

"D'you like bugs?" they ask when they see him from the corner of their eye.

[boogerman]

Good enough. He's like a cat in that he takes up a square mile of couch. Teehee.

"To eat or to hide in your bed?"

[dustless]

Deadpan: "Yes."

Hmm. They flick through recommendations. Bees?

[boogerman]

"I could bring you a plate of fried cockroaches for dinner."

He'll shut up when Toriel comes in, really.

[dustless]

Bees. Honeybees, specifically. Why not.

"Okay."

They eat spiders. Spiders in dough, admittedly, but still. This is not the way to go about bugging them--and then Frisk has to duck their head to hide their smirk, 'cause that was a horrible pun.

(Fur is hard to clean, Toriel left her cleaning comb in the bathroom and is doing her best with her claws..)

"Not really. I don't believe your mother would approve much of me feeding you bugs." And she can set him on fire, so. She wins.

[dustless]

Frisk turns their head to look at him. They look...a little considering.

"...I mean, if they were clean. She might. She's--it's not bugs, but she made snail pie before."

[boogerman]

"Pie? ...That's not how I've seen snails cooked before. They're supposed to be more savory than sweet, I thought?" They really love their sweets, both of them. Sheesh.

[dustless]

"They're...not sweet." Snail pie isn't impossible to eat, especially not by Frisk's standards, but it's weird.



"Sorry I took so long." Toriel makes her way through the room to the couch, looking at the preview and smiling even more. "Ah--I think this one is new!" She has quite the thirst for new knowledge after decades with exactly the same books.

"'S okay." Frisk nods, expression serious. "I was telling Pitch that you like eating bugs."

"Frisk! I do not eat bugs. Snails, yes, but those are gastropods."

"An' spiders."

"Arachnids!" She bops them on the nose with a finger and Frisk loses their straight face. "Still, they are not bugs. Or even insects!"

[boogerman]

Bees. What does he know about bees? ...Well, he'll learn.

"Nothing shameful in eating bugs. People all over the world do it and like it. They're healthy." Haaa.

[dustless]

"Not around here a lot." Frisk presses 'play'.



"They are far too squeamish." Most humans do not even try to taste her pie.

"I know. Half the people around panic if they see a cockroach, I can't imagine them wanting to eat one."

Enough with the cockroaches, watch the bees. He does sit, finally, trying not to take up too much of the couch... and accidentally bump into Frisk.

Toriel laughs lightly, but also falls silent. She truly does love watching these.

The couch is huge, so it'd be tough to bump them even if he'd taken a flying leap...at first. Frisk is pretty good at taking up couch space.

So are tall people, but he's trying. At least he's very, very thin.

He keeps his silence. He'll be heard if he speaks, see, he can't narrate the show to them as he's done in the past to nonbelievers, not without being a pain in the arse.

Frisk wouldn't mind. He is being a child. Or too nervous.

Not that they notice much after the first few minutes, enthralled with the making of honey, and the plight of bees in general. There are a few interesting scenes about allergic reactions, too, that Frisk's unaffected by but Toriel feels a chill from. There are many children at her school who have yet to learn if they have such reactions.

It's a pretty long one, too. At the end, Toriel glances at the clock and rises to her feet.



"I will check on the cake, though there is still time left for it to bake. I will be right back."

Frisk stretches and flops their head in Pitch's direction. "Think of other stuff to watch?"

[boogerman]

Eh. None of that was really useful or interesting, and yet he's still sitting there. He's had more boring nights.

Tapping his foot, not looking at that hair Frisk has which is not being petted, "Something less educational and more for a laugh?"

Frisk starts flipping through categories, looking for comedy.

"Dunno what I can watch if you like 'adult humor'."
