[The Batman has been keeping an eye on this warehouse for a while. His team has gathered some intel suggesting that there's been some very odd shipments coming in and out, ones that aren't being properly recorded for some reason. And for a few nights now he's flown out to the area and curled up in the shadows of a nearby radio tower, watching, and waiting.]
[So far there's been nothing- but as it's nearing midnight, the Batman hears the sound of footsteps. He shifts a wing and peers out into the gloom.]
Option B
[It's been well over a week since the last time the Batman saw his prisoner in person.]
[He hasn't been avoiding them- at least, that's what he told Batgirl and Robin when they asked about it- but he's found a lot of things to keep himself busy and coincidentally, away from the prisoner. He goes out on frequent patrols at night, and during the day he's usually asleep on the sixth floor of the Manor, which is inaccessible to anyone but himself. Otherwise he spends most of his time working in the cave which, much like the sixth floor, is inaccessible unless you know where to find the hidden passageways.]
[However, Alfred's been needing help with the gardens for a while, and Batman is the only person with hands big enough to actually use the gardening tools. So this afternoon he's out in the gardens with a set of pruners, carefully tending to the rose bushes.]
[Except for Alfred, off tending to another part of the garden, he's fully expecting to be alone this afternoon.]
