The Knight doesn't care for the comparison. But in that moment, perhaps--they did tear the Fools apart from within in revenge for a wrong. It was simply not a wrong related to being forgotten, or against them at all.
I believe it somewhat less, they respond after a moment. At least more controlled. I didn't seem to reach beyond the Colosseum's bounds and it was finished quickly. I know the Infection was reversible in early stages, but Myla is clearly not in early stages of anything.
Hopefully they don't need to die themselves to fix it. If it's the temporary sort, they will. If it needs to be permanent--well, they won't, and likely can't. What can drown a Void? Nothing that still exists, the Knight thinks. And they're not letting go what they have just yet. They'll find something else.
