It's been an overwhelming time. They've realized the alarm they've caused to more than only Lemm, and now they're back to hear Myla's singing, really singing. She'd tried earlier, in fragmentary pieces, but she could never focus enough to read their writing when they attempted to ask after it. Nor anything else. But her silence was the most concerning.
They produce a flimsy folding table to finish off their scavenged items. There are bowls they stored beneath the couch. They're particularly quiet when they make their way to it, walking around the edge of the room to keep from frightening her.
She isn't obviously startled, but notices the Knight's presence quickly. Her singing shivers into silence. Ducking to fetch the bowl, they're glad their hurt can't openly show.
