There were enough challengers to dump a large amount of bodies down into the acid below. There was a warrior, Tiso, who travelled through Hallownest searching for that glory. He seemingly made it to the final trial, was killed by what I suspect was an unfair trick. He didn't fall enough to reach the acid.
I defeated their Champion and destroyed the Infection not long after, I believe. It would be better if it were to fade from that.
