Several in Dirtmouth do hold positive thoughts toward me. They do not comprise the whole of the world. They hope this doesn't come off as too admonishing.
The Knight stares up him for a long, long moment. They still don't completely understand why it's so unpleasant, but they're not about to deny that he feels that way.
I would think throwing journals at an upset beast would be more difficult than that, and you still did so. Afterwards you didn't permanently lock it from your shop, or try to drive it off or kill it. That would have been the easier decision. The Stag is far more benign a being. I believe you're capable of enduring that unpleasantness. And I can distract him with my considerately stray ways if you would rather not ask.
