With Lemm's eye on the lantern instead of the spellwork, it does go a little faster. The Knight suspects as much, at least. It's hard to tell in the dark.
Once they're out, the presence of the Knight sinks itself back into their body's form. The Void crashes into itself behind them, and they let go of Lemm to swing their blade on instinct--but it's only air, in the end, blasting a wild breeze through the Temple.
